WEAT -Workshop for ethno-Architecture Techniques 
Workshop in Transylvania, Sept. 2006
This workshop will take place in Gyergyoremete (Remetea), Transsylvania (Rumania), in the first week of September.
We will learn how to make kirgiz yurts from yurt-builder Balázs László. We also will have some possibility to get insight into local weaving and dying techniques. We will visit an old wool-processing manufactory, have glimpse on local traditional architecture and see some interesting places in the transsylvanian mountains - This region is famous for its castles, old churches, beautifully carved wooden gates in the villages and for lakes containing thermal springs and salty water.
With the help and guide of a local carpeter we will try our skills on building - at least partially - a hut out of logs, which will become a part of Gyergyoremete´s village museum.
